Name: Natural Behemoth (Name Pending)
Primary use: Destruction of Lager Spacecraft'
Standard Growth Rate: Once per month
Appearance: While this is Hive Mind organic tech. it usually takes the shape of a barrel. This is it's standby mode, and is also in this form for long range starship fights. In mid-range it only slightly modifies it shape, it breaks off some of the front parts of the barrel to deploy 'Death's Illusion' which is numerous small Hive Mind star fighters. (More of that later) When 'Death's Illusion' is deployed, the front of the barrel becomes pointed with what resemble spikes around the barrel. In close range (where it's fighting preference is) it can take form of anything in a short amount of time (Explained later in post) taking anything from a replica of a net, to a condensed cube.
Materials: The NB is made of millions upon millions of smaller plant drones, given the name 'Suicide Imp-N'. Along with only thousands of the bigger plant drone known as 'Death's Illusion-C'. Which have all been grown with an unusually high amount of 'Organic Afterlife' which is a recent project successfully completed by The Hive Mind. Each plant drone latches and ties together to form what is known as the 'Natural Behemoth'. Both 'Suicide Imp-N' and 'Death's Illusion-C' are grow in a particular way, were they have been cut off of the natural evolutionary effects of The Hive Mind, disabling un-needed things such as H2O Absorption. Making growth faster then normally grown plant drones.
Defenses: There are three defenses that the Natural Behemoth has, one being rapid morphing. For ex. someone throws a knife, you either dodge, take the hit, or reconstruct your body in a split second to have the knife go through you. Now the plant drones themselves aren't reconstructing, but the NB being made of many plant drones can easily form a gap by moving plant drones where oncoming fire will be. The second defense being 'Organic Afterlife'. This is a new growth of The Hive Mind, making the plant juices that would normally come out when being cut/shot into a very thick liquid that dries on contact when touching the outer layer of any plant. This juice goes over the attacked area, and makes a sort of "patch" for the drone so it may continue without that rip in it's body. So when the NB is unable to dodge a shot for whatever reason, it can make a patch for itself. While the patch isn't as flexible, and bendable as a plant drone, it helps keeps plant drones attached. The third actually being an energy shield supplied by a reliable company, standardly there are three installed. When the shields run out of energy, they either go back to be sold, or used as projectiles.
Offenses: Being tech. from The Hive Mind, there are many fun features in the NB related to attacking. The first and most devastating is what was codenamed 'Hive Mind's Glory'. This is a massive harpoon like shot, that is fired from the center of the NB. In some cases the shot is bigger then the ship it's fighting. When making impact with the targeted ship, it releases multiple air-born spores, and launches acidic liquids into the area. Following this, waves mostly made of 'Suicide Imp-N' are shot at high speeds through the harpoon into the opposing ship. When the primary attack force in the harpoon is launched, the remaining section of the harpoon wraps itself around the rest of the ship. Sealing the fate of it's target. Offense number two, 'Death's Illusion'. Usually deployed in mid-to-close range, where the NB breaks chunks of itself off to deploy as lightning fast, very small star fighters. While these do not have any ranged attacks, they are much more then capable of ramming into another small ship, wrapping over it. Sealing the fate of another, or if there's no smaller ships in the area. Smash into the main targeted ship, and start to bring the fight inside the ship. And the third offense is a melee attack, short and simple, when a targeted ship is in range. It latches on, and never lets go. What else is there to say on this one? Either self-destruct the ship, or die fighting.
